SMF Research Grants

The Singapore Millennium Foundation (SMF) Research Grant Programme has been in place since 2011, when the SMF started its programme of annual grant calls. Temasek Foundation Innovates took over the programme in 2017, promoting research based on three key themes.

Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory

Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL), established in 2002, is a beneficiary of Temasek Trust and is affiliated with the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University. It is located within the campus of the National University of Singapore and is situated alongside other research institutes and academic departments of the university.

The research institute has about 240 researchers from 21 different nationalities and its vision is to build a preeminent organization of global talent to undertake bio-molecular science research and applications to benefit people in Asia and beyond. TLL strives to develop its people and provide opportunities for them to be leaders in their own fields by challenging them to achieve breakthrough discoveries and impactful applications.
